The Former White House Because of its attractive nature & sceneries, historical places, structures & buildings, Virginia has become one of the many favorite spots for film locations and productions in the United States. One of those historical buildings or offices is the Museum of the Confederacy, former White House of the Confederacy, where the movie entitled Lincoln by Steven Spielberg was filmed. The whole movie itself was filmed in Virginia wherein its whole crew, staff, actors and actresses, director and producer, stayed, worked and dined in its entirety in this beautiful city of Virginia.
It was here in the Museum of the Confederacy where Abraham Lincoln and his family resided during the fall of Richmond in April 3, 1865. Today, the museum holds the massive collection of manuscripts, artifacts and images that are associated with the era of the Confederates.
