Sommersby’s Film Location
The movie entitled Sommersby was filmed wholly in the cities and towns of Virginia. Places in Virginia like the Appomatox, Charlotte Court House, Farmville, Hot Springs, Lexington were among the film locations of this romantic love story set in the civil war tide. Hidden Valley in Warwickton was one of its film location in Virginia. Also filmed at the house mansion within it which was originally built in 1851 by James Woods Warwick. The mansion altogether with this Hidden Valley is now part of the National Register of Historic Places. It is also being well chosen as Virginia’s Historic Landmark.
Today it is being provisioned to as a Bed & Breakfast lodging area for its visitors and guests. Enjoy the historic ambiance as well as your bed & breakfast stay in the mansion itself.
