This place makes you fall in love all over again. The charisma of this place becomes more advent once you know the history. Richmond Ballet first came into existence in the year 1957 when a group of students started using this for dance practice.
In the year 1980 Richmond Ballet got its present Artistic Director. There was no turning back there after. In 1984 it became the First Ballet Company of Virginia and the State Ballet in 1990. Richmond Ballet VA's present location was built in the year 2000. The performances are done by students trained in their schools truly lift up your spirit, Nutcracker being the best.
